Mom’s Spaghetti 🍝

Number of servings:

1

Preparation time:

25 minutes

Ingredients

    • 100 g organic spaghetti pasta
    • 100 g organic ground beef
    • 100 g ground pork collar
    • 200 ml tomato passata
    • 1 onion
    • 3 cloves of garlic
    • 1 fresh chili pepper
    • Olive oil
    • Shredded mozzarella (for topping)
    • Spices: dried oregano, sweet paprika, salt, pepper, fresh basil

    Preparing

    1. Preparation: Finely chop the onion, garlic, and chili pepper.

    2. Sautéing: Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Add the chopped vegetables and sauté for a few moments until softened and fragrant.

    3. Browning the meat: Add both types of meat (beef and pork) to the skillet. Cook, breaking up any lumps with a spatula, until the meat is browned and fully cooked through.

    4. Seasoning: Season the mixture with salt, pepper, sweet paprika, oregano, and chopped fresh basil.

    5. Simmering: Pour in the tomato passata. Reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld. (Optional: if the sauce is too thick, add a small splash of the pasta cooking water).

    6. Pasta: In the meantime, cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente.

    7. Combining: Drain the pasta and add it directly to the skillet with the sauce. Toss well to coat the noodles evenly.

    8. Serving: Plate the spaghetti and garnish generously with shredded mozzarella.
