Hey y'all, it's Jess, your fave sports gal! 🤸♀️
You know that feeling—you just finished a hard training session (or just a long day on the run), you’re hangry, you open the fridge, and it’s seemingly empty. Just a few mushrooms, one bell pepper, an apple, and a jar of pickles.
Most people hit up the pizza delivery app. Me? I start my Fridge Therapy!
I’m leveling up my efficiency. I don’t waste time shopping. I take what I have and turn it into a high-quality meal. European organic products are key here—they have that amazing quality and such an epic flavor that you don't need a ton of spice or complicated prep to make something that knocks you out like Claressa Shields in the first round. 💪
Here are my 3 ways to turn those fridge "solo artists" into a unified band:
1. Roasted Everything Power Bowl
Got a handful of organic mushrooms and random veggies? Perfect. Let’s get it!
- How-to: Chop the mushrooms and veggies. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle sea salt, and put them into a hot oven. Roasting brings out their deep flavor and natural sweetness.
- Serve with: Toss this on quinoa or rice—you’ve got your full carbs covered.
- My Hack: Top it with diced organic pickles. It adds a nice tanginess that legit brings the whole dish to life!
2. Quick Apple Boost (Chutney)
Some people just see one apple. We see a divine organic apple chutney for a real lady-boss! 💪
- How-to: Dice the apple (keep the skin on—that’s where the flavor is!). Quickly simmer it in a pot with a little honey and apple cider vinegar.
- Serve with: This warm sauce is bomb with, say, grilled chicken. It's that sweet-and-sour pop that turns a boring meal into something extra.
3. Green Aromatic Bomb (Dressing)
A bunch of parsley, dill, or basil? Don't let them go to waste. That's concentrated summer flavor.
- How-to: Toss all the herbs into a blender. Add good olive oil and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
- Serve with: Drizzle this over your roasted veggies. It's the simplest way to majorly boost flavor and add freshness to any meal.
Fridge Therapy proves that great food doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming. You just need a few quality, organic ingredients to create a meal that makes your afternoon!
Get to it!
– Jess
